This is our second Vidcast for college decision month. Today – we will discuss why community college is a great choice and should be in every high school student’s college choice set. College decision-making is surprisingly complex, College decision-making has many criteria and deciding what is important to you. Plus, since the decision is new to most students, it creates even more challenges. Plus there are about 4,000 potential college alternatives and many students need to consider financing. College is one of many important life decisions benefiting from a consistent, repeatable decision process!


About the author:  Jeff Hulett is a career banker, data scientist, behavioral economist, and choice architect. Jeff has held banking and consulting leadership roles at Wells Fargo, Citibank, KPMG, and IBM. Today, Jeff is an executive with the Definitive Companies. There are 2 kinds of smart students that attend community college:


  1. Students that are plenty smart, but need to fine-tune their study habits and study skills.

  2. Students that are so smart and they realize community college is a savvy path to get a much lower-cost undergraduate education.
